What's in the news?
ACW Agrees to Fund Beach Port-a-Potties
Thanks to the PADRS for initiating the request to ACW. ACW will include Port-a-Potties for Port Albert in their recreation budget moving forward.
Changes to the Conservation Act
Effective April 1, 2024, changes to the Conservation Act come into effect that are relevant to Port Albert cottagers and residents.
PACA Mandate
To serve as a common voice for property owners and cottagers in the Port Albert community. PACA will act as representative, liaison and information conduit with other community groups, the Ashfield Colborne Lakeshore Association (ACLA), the Township of Ashfield, Colborne Wawanosh (ACW), the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA), and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF).
To create a community association that is inclusive and represents the diversity of citizens in Port Albert.
To embark on activities that are supported by a broad membership and are of benefit to the community as a whole.

Record and share Board meeting minutes to the general membership.

Complete based on feedback from subcommittee review and create a strategy for membership ratification.
