A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our survey on community priorities. We had 48 interested community members send in their responses! Your feedback shapes PACAs goals and actions for the upcoming year.

What part of PACA’s mandate resonates most for you?
45% – Create strong community by promoting activities that represent ALL citizens of Port Albert.
36% – Representative, liaison and information conduit with other community groups including the Ashfield Colborne Lakeshore Association (ACLA), the Township of Ashfield, Colborne Wawanosh (ACW), the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA), and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF).
17% – Engage in activities that are supported by a broad membership and are of benefit to the community as a whole.

27% – Beach camera so that people can check beach conditions (weather, waves and crowds) before heading down to the beach similar to Kincardine’s beach cam.
18% – Buoy(s) to mark posts from old pier for swimmer safety.
18% – Portable speedbumps approaching our beaches to slow traffic.
10% – Kids beach art competition.

8% – Welcome wagon for new residents and cottagers.
6% – Radar Speed Signs (YOUR SPEED signs) coming off HWY 21.
5% – Permanent structures to replace Port-a-Potties at the beach

- Signs for bylaw enforcement of no motorized vehicles on beach, dogs on leash, no fires etc.
- Stabilize the mouth and remove the old pier hazards
- Some way to monitor ATV traffic on beach during summer
- Covered structure at Petrie Park

- Signage to update regarding removal of all garbage from public beach also clear signage re parking so beach goers don’t block road & property access on Melbourne
- Our number would be permanent washroom structures. Tractor clean up at beach twice a year

- Whatever activity is choosen, a clear and specific plan for funds needs to be communicated
- Yard sale at the baseball diamond or again later in the summer
